The Business Development Specialist Role entails strategic planning and management of sales programs in order to generate substantial new customer opportunities and to ensure sales programs are executed efficiently and effectively. The objective is to generate customer leads for selected markets by amplifying awareness of our candidates and services through sales program management and then motivating customer pull-through to our salesforce. This role heavily involves cross-functional communication with multiple departments, research and conceptualization, written communications and spreadsheet editing, and utilizing various software and channels to reach target audiences, often working closely with the wider sales team to connect generated leads to their sales pipeline. Your mission statement is to help us grow by connecting us faster with more viable customers.

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS (each duty and function listed indicate % of time):

  • Strategic Planning: Through collaborative project planning meetings and documenting project realization plans, using tools such as MS Teams Planner or Project, One Drive, and SharePoint (25%)
  • Prospecting: Research and identify potential customers within target markets using various tools and databases for the purpose of creating customer lists. (10%)
  • Innovation: Edit and layout content for the opportunity to improve customer-facing communications such as emails, recorded voicemails, and landing pages. Continuously review and refine sales processes related to CRM usage, lead management, and program execution to suggest ways to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness. (5%)
  • Deployment: Send relevant communications using various tools such as email, CRM, and Voice Drop software. Distribute leads in a timely manner to sales representatives with a quality level that motivates a connection between the customer and the company. Ensure that sales teams are properly supported with necessary materials and leads. (10%)
  • Lead Qualification and Compliance: Assess the potential value of each lead based on the imminency of their needs, business profile, and decision-making authority. Ensure that sales-related programs and processes are compliant with company policies and industry regulations. Maintain detailed documentation of sales programs, contests, and CRM processes. (10%)
  • CRM Data Management: Enrich our lead information within the company's CRM system by adding direct dial phone numbers, emails or other missing contact information, track enriched seed follow-up to maximize sales connects, and ensure that talent showcase profiles are appealing and meet minimum presentation standards through the use of strategic audits and field outreach. (5%)
  • Data Analysis: Track lead generation performance metrics, create visual aids to present results and identify areas for improvement. Manage and track sales contests, ensuring that they are compliant with company policies and deliver a strong return on investment (ROI). Provide regular updates on contest performance and communicate results to leadership and the sales team. (10%)
  • Marketing Liaison and Leadership Collaboration: Work closely with leaders, teammates, and the national sales team to create digital campaigns, drive staff participation, share lead insights, and ensure a smooth handoff process. Act as a point of contact between sales and marketing teams, ensuring that lead generation efforts align with sales goals. Provide feedback on marketing campaigns and ensure that sales teams are properly supported with necessary materials and leads. (25%)

LANGUAGE/COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Advanced/Professional level required. The position requires verbal and written communication with all levels of the organization and external USA clients.

COMPUTER/SYSTEM SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
Reliable internet bandwidth. Secluded work area. Office 365-Intermediate, MS Excel-Intermediate, MS Word-Intermediate, Canva or MS PowerPoint-Beginner. Beginner experience using MS Teams and MS Planner or Project is beneficial.

  • Research abilities: Proficiency in researching KPIs, customers and competitors, and industry-specific trends.
  • CRM proficiency: Experience using CRM software to manage lead information and track progress.
  • Digital literacy: Proficiency with computer peripherals and online platforms. This includes weekly use of cloud-based tools such as search engines, AI chatbots, Office 365, and MS Teams.

Paid time off accrues immediately at 2 hours per semi-monthly pay period for full time employees, and a prorated amount for part time employees based on the percentage of a 40 hour work week worked.
